Controller Support
I just assumed a platformer would have controller support. Is this coming or did I miss an option?

I just restarted the game and then everything was fine.

The streams I've seen all used controllers, but if it's not working you might want to shoot the devs an email/tweet.

Are you using a controller? I think the streams I saw were on the switch.
I don't actually have the game yet. I'm waiting for it to launch on itch.io. Yeah, some of those streams were on the Switch... I highly doubt they wouldn't include controller support for PC/Mac/Linux. Are you using an Xbox controller?

It does say "full controller support" on the store page

I have a ps4 controller. And so far I haven't been able to use it with Celeste. Works fine with other games.

If you're still having trouble, you can try something like Xpadder or JoyToKey until the problem is fixed.

I had no option selected in the General Controller Settings. But the other games were working so I never even knew it exisited. After checking the PS4 support. It works, thank you.

This is possibly overkill but if Steam Input doesn't work you can also try the `opengl` beta branch which, in addition to a different renderer, also has a different controller support path. PS4 (and Nintendo Switch Pro Controller) detection and prompts should be natively supported in that version when Steam Input is turned off, but on Windows this is all completely untested.

Steam settings got the PS4 controller to start working to some extent, but when I'm in the prologue and it prompts me to perform a dash, it doesn't seem to let me dash via controller and I HAVE to use the keyboard to advance.

EDIT

Just realized the controllers prompts are for xbox only? Because dash on PS4 is square, not X

Was having no end of trouble with this, but these settings finally got my Logitech RumblePad 2 working with the game as well. Never been an issue with a Steam game for me before. Thank you!

I played a few hours with opengl branch with DS4, works perfectly fine for me on Windows 10 :)

I also have a Logitech RumblePad 2, but I can't get it to work. What are the settings you are referring to that made it work for you?
