So why use the name of a real company?
深圳龙腾科技有限公司
And not a small one in that field too. Except its more of a e-com company, not an electronic one.
Just wondering.
(In before copyright infringement? )

a) If they're not a corporation registered in the US, it isn't infringing.
b) It would be trademark infringement.
c) Works of fiction are partially protected.
d) If the entity in the work doesn't resemble the real-life entity, (c) applies even more.

Isn't this name quite generic? Like Sky, you know... :sweetdog:

It's also set in the future, so, you know, anything goes...

Ah well. Not that I actully care. Though anyone who can speak Chinese can probably come up with something generic without using real company names...
(Then again there's more than one company that use "Dragon Rise" in many countries over the Asian circle... That name might in fact be TOO generic in that sense...:conwayshrug: )

Now that this has been pointed out, I wouldn't be suprised if the name is changed before the final release (although if the company isn't active in the US the odds of legal action are rather low, why run the risk?)
