I'd like to second ymich's requests. Any chance this could be turned over to the players/community so that it could be developed some more? So much potential.
All the very best to you Jan and the Craneballs developers. I hope that somehow we will get to see future gaming projects from the people that were involved.
A few last requests, please:
1. Please consider open-sourcing the game, and if that's not possible, please consider the request from @ymrich and put it up for sale. There have been multiple discussions over the years in the forums about extending the game (including attempts to reverse-engineer parts to facilitate this).
2. Please sticky this thread.
3. Please put this game up on one last sale... it would both give more exposure to this great game and hopefully provide you with one last batch of funding that I'm sure you need (considering the announcement).
When will it be taken down from the store?
I was considering creating a video comparing Planet Nomads with Space Engineers. Each has strengths over the other, so it's not a "this is better than that", but more of a "if you like this type of game, you'll like this one" type of comparison. It may actually push some sales if I could get it out in time. I don't have a huge following, but maybe I could help generate a bit of traffic for you.
I also agree in having a final sale if you have the capacity to do so, it would be a good gesture for the community and also help you in your future endeavours.
I definitely hope the workshop and the ability to publish / subscribe blueprints will remain available (and goes without saying, I hope the game will remain available for download to players who already have it!)
You Not Even Own it. lame.
