Planetary Map?
I scanned a radar and still cannot view the planetary map. Pressing 'M" does nothing.

I've laid down various beacons but that's difficult to keep up when traveling long distances trying to find monuments and the like. I even got lost once and only managed to find my base after circumnavigating the globe and finding one of the beacon chains I laid down. I've completed all available (to me) quests and am down to the endgame part where I need to craft various finale related items.

Did I miss something or this a 1.0 glitch?

It is a glitch. Two other people reported it here too:

You can report your the bug too, from the game menu. Developers will get this way your log files, a screenshot and the save.
Most likely they will come with a fix next days.

Thanks for the response. Hopefully it is fixed soon. I could really use a visit to the main monument to get some of the advanced blueprints. I tried starting a new game and the map works fine there so I may play that and go back to the old save once the bug is fixed.

I checked now and if I go through the tutorial, when I land onto the surface I cannot open the map. Even after the tutorial on the surface ends I still cannot open the map.
New maps usually start without tutorial and this problem doesn't happen.

There is indeed an error in one quest that should unlock the map after wandering on the planet for a while. We're working on the fix.

What about fixes for the physics bugs? Stuff spontaneously exploding and vehicles flipping in flight?

I'll second this one - leaving my vehicle on autopilot and then having it flip in clean air, forcing a reload, is getting frustrating.

The same problems with flying machines. About 1 time in 20 minutes. Tired already.

Flipping is so annoying, auto flight is a real drag now as you have to spend more time righting the vehicle than just walking the distance.

I agree. But sometimes the setting does not give anything. The only thing that I noticed is that at a speed of up to 36 km / h the device turns over 50 percent less.At night, three times more often. For 2 km I flew for 3 hours of real time, rebooted and saved the game every 200 meters of successful flight (without shifters). And developed in their bug tracker for such reports are definitely answered - this is "not a bug."

There were some kind of deadlock in quests/hints, so your map was not unlocked when it was supposed to be. There is the update 1.0.0.1 released to experimental branch that addresses it. It just might take few minutes before the hint opens up in old saves. It will be released to public branch soon.

I did see a message about opening my map, and M brings up a globe, but it's black with markers on it. Is it supposed to have any detail? 'cause it's not really all that useful the way it is.

You have to use the radar to scan your surroundings. That part will then show up on the map.

The radar can be found at crash sites.

Not so far, mostly those large tanks, that I also cannot build.
