Hey,

I don't know about wrecks, but the datapads could be used by putting them in your action bar (1, 2, 3 or 4) and clicking it, after that go to your own datapad with 8 and you will be able to read them :)

You're welcome, by the way with F1 to 4 you can open some help/tips screens :)

The wreck sites from "distress signals" (buildings, vehicles, storage tanks, etc.) basically serve (2) purposes. The first is to provide you with those datapad messages for the backstory of PN. The second is simply a few free parts from dismantling them. I have (yet) to find anything at a wreck site that I would want to repair because what you find is very basic. I've hauled back one of the large storage tanks (just for grins), but it was not usable, nor could you access it's storage.

I pass by most of the distress signal sites because they are not worth my time to land and harvest the materials. The datapad information isn't much more than simply telling a story. If those datapads actually had information that led me to finding something of use in the game, then I would place some value on them. :steammocking:

More power to you...find them all Kwon! I don't personally find immersion in them, but each to his own. :steamhappy:

Since that last update on Thursday, I'm finding a lot of wrecks that I didn't have before. When I go to them, the storage boxes where those data pads and in some cases, materials to build with or food and water, are empty. I remember when they were first introduced. I found the same problem until the next update came out. I may have found those wrecks before, but I don't remember them being at the sane locations before. I didn't check to see if the data pads I found before are still in my log.
