Lack of Titanium

Just can't find Titanium. All other resources I anger to find with ease. 1K distance from my HQ I managed to find most of the resources but Titanium can't find it. I travelled 10K north and found nothing. Could it be a seed issue?

Every game I have played I have always found the ores I needed and I have an over abundance of Titanium at present from the north snowy cold biome.

Maybe you could provide the seed you used and other players can try it and see if they have the same probs.

I like to try different seeds myself. Am always starting fresh games to try out different styles, etc

How far did you travel to get to the cold biome?

Titanium is often found in a 50/50 mix with Uranium. If you find Uranium which is easy to spot with its bright green streaks, you're gonna get so much Titanium that you'll be throwing it away (eventually).

Look for areas that have foot-hills with fairly barren slopes that are sandy in color. You will find lots of Uranium there and by default also Titanium.

I actually found uranium in tropical environment with an silver mix but none with Titanium. Very odd. Will try another seed. Possibly i am having this problem since the world was generated by an older version on nomads.

You need to travel to a Biome that has some of those sandy colored barren hills that I mentioned. They are often located at the foothills of mountainous areas. The tropical Biome's uranium could be mixed with other ores like silver and that is a good thing to have found as well. Silver can be harder to locate that Titanium at times.

I'm sure that you don't need to do a whole new seed unless you are not happy with where you are currently based and want a new start. You just haven't found the areas (and there are many) that I'm describing. You can find a fair amount of them to the East and West from my experience.

You can find Titanium all over (even in the frozen north and certainly in the desert). So, I'm not saying the photos above are the only places. I'm just sharing some of the examples of where I've typically found that ore.

When you get near the desert watch for the transition area of where the desert starts and the connecting Biome ends. When you see a blackish stain on top of a sandy colored area (as shown just behind the vehicle in the 2nd pic above), pop the surface with your multi-tool to see what lies underneath. Often times after you break that crust, it will expose an area where uranium/other ores are deposited just underneath.

Finally managed to find. It was South East 2K from my location. Will take note of your tip.

Good stuff Hamish. I started a new seed (just for grins) and am having to locate Uranium veins myself right now in a new Biome and location. In my previous builds, I've had Uranium just a couple of feet outside the door of my Base to (like you) having to travel 2K to source it. At this new Base, it is looking like it will be in the 2K flavor. Having a vehicle makes that search a whole lost faster and I just got this new build to the point that I added an 8-wheeler last night.

Glad to hear that you found the Titanium. Now you have one of the required elements to build all the way up to Mk3 level Suit, Jet-pack and Multi-tool. I skip over all the Mk2 personal items and head straight to Mk3 once I've sourced Silver, Cobalt, Aluminum and Titanium.

I have seed 123456789 and l aso didn't find Titan.

I have search 10km around my Startplaze (south, east, west and north). I have found swamp (silver, cobalt, alu), i have found cave (silver, cobalt, alu), i have found snow fields (silver, cobalt, alu) but nothing to see of desert or jungel (i know from seed nomad that jungel have silver, cobalt, alu, uran, gold and titan. A little overpowert but ok. :D ).

But only as Info ;) ... i pause nomad and wait to the integrate of flying vehicles. With the soaped slicks as Weel, no power in the drives and a grund with all 5 meter crevices make the Car no sense.
