I tried two batterys per wheel, there is an advantage in acceleration and max speed, but not in grip and traction unfortunately.
i use 1 battery pr wheel .. hm this was so annoying i gonna put this game on hold to they fix this..
or i gonna get so negative feeling about it i might give it tumb down..
i better just relax and calm down atm.. and not give it un deserverd bad review only because of very poor made system for cars :)
tryed that, but it did not work.
the smallest bump in the ground made car stuck..
so it did not climb up on the ramp
I had the same problem (and I really didn't feel like hauling a dozen crates of ore out of that stupid pit) so I used a hoverjack to lift the rover and put some foundation frames underneath it. Traction and terrain definitely need work, but since there's not a lot of content yet I just looked at it as a survival challenge. After 8km of travel I finally found some aluminum and I really feel like I earned it.
Repeat. Its really interesting to explore the planet.
If you mount it on a vehicle you can also use it as a respawn point. It's been an interesting trip all right - with the terrain hazards and difficult driving it feels like I'm a pioneer in a covered wagon. I've learned to stop peridodically and scout the trail ahead. It saves a lot of digging and it's kinda nice to slow down and take it all in. :)
