Will I be able to play this without the headset?

Im absolutely fascinated with the chernobyl accident and would love to play this but I dont have the money to spend on a VR headset. Could I play this without one and just explore with the mouse?

It was filmed with 360 degree cameras. I dont see how it would work without the hardware. You tube has some 2d videos that would be the same as exploring without hardware.

When I first purchased it some years ago I played without a VR headset, and it was fine. Since when was a headset a requirement? Is it a new restriction, or will I still be able to play without?
