I read that Elven Assassin is Cross Play with Steam.

My friend just got the Quest 2. We read, Update 1.23 - Oculus Cross-Play and Touch support, that cross play works between Steam and Oculus, so I bought him Elven Assassin for the Quest 2, but when we try to play together, we can't see each other.

I'm using the Rift S, using Steam VR. For some reason, we can't see each other, I'm guessing because we are on different servers, though, there was suppose to be cross play support. Can I install my version on the Oculus server to play with him, and how do I do that.

We were really looking forward to playing together, and now it seems we can't.

I'm assuming that the Rift S and Quest 2 can play together, on the Oculus servers.... Or is that not true as well.

I've already bought the game twice, I don't want to have to buy it a 3rd time.... :(

Hi!

Unfortunately, crossplay between Oculus Quest and Steam is not supported. Elven Assassin allows crossplay between Oculus Rift S and Steam but not Quest.

The only solution would be for your friend to use Oculus Link. However, this would require your friend to purchase Elven Assassin on PC (Steam or Oculus).

That's a bummer. I ask (hopefully) that it is a feature being considered as the diversity of VR users out there would make cross play in this pretty awesome. As it stands, I need to buy one version to play with my wife, another to play with my Steam/Oculus friends... not an insurmountable problem, but one that I hope eventually goes away.

Yes! The crossplay is working between meta quest 2 - pico - steam!
