I presume this game has jumpscares?
Because I just want to play a 3D duck hunting VR game.

Not really. I am personally not a big fan of jumpscares and as such wanted to avoid them as much as possible.

Well, some of the marketing material begs to differ. That gif in the game about page thingy in particular.

reminds me of that thing...[scp-wiki.wdfiles.com]

There are some, but there is also plenty of Duck Hunt 3D as well weaved into an story, which I for one didn't see coming and I was looking for the same thing. You could always try it and watch your time limit to determine if it is acceptable or not. I'd say its 50/50 depending on how sensitive you may be, but jump scares are not the point of it to be sure.

I wouldn't really say this has jump scares at all. There are a few parts where (minor spoilers) you turn your head and notice something creepy/unexpected but it is never loud or in your face. The scary moments are for the most part telegraphed ahead of time. And once you finish the story, you unlock an arcade mode where you can hunt ducks to your heart's content.

I don't know, When Dog was outside my window with the video camera or in the house the first time, my wife thought I was being murdered, so YMMW, but a great game with many retro mini-games for nostalgia. Lots of fun things to do and mysteries to solve. If you wish to diminish any scary parts I recommend not playing in an empty house in the wee hours of the morning.
