If it can help send the logfiles to the devs. Maybe they can see the problem in it
Log file: If you are having issues, there is a log file located on <steam folder>/SteamApps/common/White Noise 2/WhiteNoise2_Data/output_log.txt . It may be of help to pinpoint the issue.
Basically you go into the steam folder and click to the respected folders till you fins the output.txt.

Start the game.
Close it after a while in the main menu with no audio.
The output.txt will write the last playing.
Open it and copy the text.
Paste it here in the forums.

Is the one related to your issue. In a nutshell, Unity could not find/initialize an audio device.
Please make sure you have an audio device connected and properly selected. On Windows, by right clicking on the volume icon in the taskbar and selecting "play devices" (or something like that), you'll see the list of sound devices. At least one of them should be enabled and set as the default device.
Also make sure the drivers for your sound card are properly installed and the headset/speakers are connected before starting the game.
