VGA or original version for Quest for Glory 1? What about Quest for Glory 2-5?

Or is Quest for Glory 1 all five games? The description says five worlds, so I do not know. Also how different is VGA from the original? Thank you.

They are 5 separate games. Quest for Glory 1 and 2 originally came out as EGA, very old graphics and gameplay. Then Sierra made a VGA remake of the first one. So, unless you're particularly interested to see how these games looked like when they first came out, go for VGA version for the first game. There is no official remake of the second game, but there is an unnoficial one, made by AGD Interactive, you'll find it if you search it on google. It's pretty good and true to original. Third and Fourth games are VGA by default. 5th one is 3D.

Yeah VGA is just a remake and changed the game from text based input (you type things like "talk to person" "pick up object" etc) to point and click based input (you click the mouth icon and then click that on people to talk to them instead) with better graphics.

2 didn't get a remake so it's still text based input, but the unofficial remake by agd interactive is very good and has options for either point and click style or text based or even a hybrid of both.

3 and beyond are all the style of the 1 VGA remake. Though 5 changes the game play a lot more to a more modern action experience.
