Quest for Glory 3 "Oops!"?
So it appears that sometimes the game will simply go "oops! You did something we didn't expect. It's not something that you need to do to finish the game however. Error 4"
for example it whileinside the large tree I talk to the magical energy which gives me the guardian orb. Then if I choose to take a second orb I can see the game has a dialogue box, but I can't read half of it because the "oops" dialogue box comes up first.

Oh also when this happens it crashes my game, every single time. Is anyone else having this problem?

That glitch has actually been around for awhile. I'm not precisely sure when it started happening but I think it may have something to do with one of the fan patches that's been applied.

The only thing you're missing out on is an exceedingly generic death message that's not even personalized for the situation. It's the same one you see if you die fighting the Apemen or the Demons in the lost city.

Ahh... the glitchfest that is Wages of War. Not even death messages are safe from the wrath.

To be honest I'm still not even sure why it's happening - I remember being able to experience it before the GOG release using the fan patches, so it must be something to do with the GOG installation - which is the same one Steam is using.

Regardless, there's a person on Youtube dedicated to recording and posting death messages in video games - MrWhitman. He did it for all of the Quest for Glory games (a word of warning: His QFG5 videos blare *all* of the audio out one speaker due to an error and it makes it painful on the ears, so you may want to watch them on low volume.) and it includes the message death scene for this scenario.

His playlists also include videos posted by other people featuring stuff he missed.

Hey thanks for the replies. I wasn't sure if it was because I needed to install a patch or what. But it's nice knowing later on that I can just watch the deaths if I feel like it :D

Anyone try disabling EMS? :D That's my first go to. Past that, I'm out of ideas. :D
