Luck in Quest For Glory 3
Hey there everyone, since I haven't been able to find any advice on this elsewhere, I thought I'd share a tip on raising the infamous luck stat in the infamously buggiest entry in the series. This trick also has the benefit of quickly boosting Vitality and Parry/Dodge (maybe even Agility, but I've already maxed it before I figured this out, so I can't confirm this). All you have to do is:

- Go to the overworld and stay near either the Pool of Peace if you're a Paladin with Heal, or the Heart of the World (giant tree) if you're any other class.
- Enter a battle and attack the enemy until it's to it's last sliver of health (not required, but more of a safety measure, you'll see why in a second)
- Hold down the Dodge OR Parry key to repeatedly do so, you'll quickly use up your Stamina and start losing Health
- Keep going until you've run out of an amount of Health you're comfortable with
- Kill the monster
If you're a Paladin:
- Go to the Pool of Peace, Heal and restore your Stamina by drinking water
If you're any other class:
- Go to the top of the tree and restore all your health and stamina
- Repeat and watch your skill points increase insanely quick! (No joke, you'll get an increase of Luck after every battle)

I know not everyone here is an insane completionist like I (unfortunately) am, but I hope this helps somebody!

It contributes to the success rate of everything.

I don't know the exact formula - in fact, I'm not sure anyone does. No one's dissected the games to be able to know these things.

It's true; even us in the speedrunning community for this game genuinely have no idea what Luck affects. It always depends on whether or not the individual action was programmed to incorporate a test of the Luck stat along with whatever core stat was being tested in any given situation. So far, even in the tool-assisted runs of Quest for Glory 1 and Quest for Glory 2, where a lot of testing was done in the engine, we haven't found a use for Luck, and it isn't factored in at all in the RTA Any% or 100% runs.
