But if you need a map, here, I found it through google: http://www.legendsofglory.com/img/MapQG2large.png
Don't be afraid to google things like "Quest for Glory 2 Desert Map" in the future, it's helpful especially for older games like this.
I would advise against using it at first, though, unless absolutely necessary. This game gives you enough resources to let you know where to go before you have to go there. However, if not using the map is making the game less fun for you, then by all means, go ahead and use it :) I'm not here to tell you HOW to play the game.
Here are some tips for ya:
1. Typing "Go Home" while riding the Saurus will result in the Saurus leaving the screen and teleporting you back to the entrance to Shapeir. Yes, teleporting - no time passes.
2. The gatekeeper will give you directions to the oasis. Just in case the pun flies over your head (which to be honest, no shame if it did), skareen = screen, the unit of measurement for most adventure games of this sort.
3. You can buy and fill more than one waterskin, and you might want to, especially if you plan on exploring the desert during the day.
With that in mind, go and have fun!
Oh, as for your question - you're still early into the game. It's pretty hard to truly screw yourself over in this regard, especially since the people of Shapeir tend to be pretty reasonable. Just remember to visit and train at the Adventurer's Guild every day.
Do i need to find my way in there? Also in the desert the julana tree i have used water and gave tree hug is that all i need to do? Also i used the map to find the caged beast but there is nothing there. All help appreciated I am playing as a fighter. thankyou
2. The tree in the desert also uses the earth elemental soil, tell about self, hug, and type her name. It doesn't have to be in that order, either.
3. The caged beast might already be gone, depending on the day.
You don't really need to worry so much about what you do each day.
Plot events come at you pretty soon, and you will have to deal with them. Just find a daily routine to do whenever you don't have something to deal with.
Quickly press Left until you build up enough power, then press
Space several times to beat him. I think you'll need around 150 strength to do it.
You don't have to buy the Fine Sword. It just makes combat a lot easier and is worth points.
option 1: train with uhura at guild hall
option 2: go out in the desert and start wrecking ♥♥♥♥. fighting the jackalmen is your best bet. eventually you`ll fight 6 at once... which is great for your physical growth. downside: you could die..... so bring the healing pills and vitality pills
