Even with the Geas, you don't seem to have any real time limit.
Which is weird. I've yet to ever see anything result of the Geas even though I think the game actually has text for it.
As long as you don't sleep at the Inn you can avoid the Domovoi bug indefinitely. Occasionally people say "oh you MUST visit him before day xx" but that's only because they were sleeping at the Inn. Sleep at the staff or in the garden and the Domovoi should be right there waiting for you when you start sleeping at the Inn on day 999 lol!
Hey, I know this is an old post but if you have any source for that I'd be really interested to read the text they put in the game for the result of the geas.
Actually, I figured out how to get it to function. Or rather, I figured out how I was "breaking" it in the first place.
The problem I had was that, most of the time, I immediately satisfied the condition of the geas by having all five rituals before getting captured, thus meaning that when I was teleported out of the castle, I was satisfying the "Return here 'ere three nights pass" part.
If you have less than that, then the Geas is still in effect and you'll start getting text on the sunset of the third day, and then the sunset of every day after that.
They're pretty neat, you should try that and just continuously rest in Erana's peace until the text starts looping around. There's no ill effects (at least nothing of any significance) and it's actually sort of clear that at least one of them is designed to trick the player into thinking this COULD kill them, even though it can't.
And yes, they're voice acted by John Rhys Davies :3
