Terrain HDAs unusable in Unreal Engine 5.1
Hi,

Attempting to adopt a procedural workflow for terrain generation in Unreal is almost impossible for me using HDAs.

Even a basic heightmap export can cause crashing consistently when attempting to export landscape. A HDA with just some noise and an flowfield or erode node would guarantee an editor crash.

A basic heightmap with with just a noise and a couple of mask layers requires you to clean the plugin cache and often fully restart the PC for the export to only succeed once on the first cook.

Even following tutorials on the SideFX website like the procedural desert lead to constant issues.

This error always occurs
Assertion failed: !bPostTickComponentUpdate [File:D:\build\++UE5\Sync\Engine\Source\Runtime\Engine\Private\LevelTick.cpp] [Line: 911]

Following the Unreal Landscape Guidelines etc and still having these issues.

Although I have had crashing issues in previous versions of unreal 5 and houdini engine its now gotten impossible to use.

I have a fresh install of Windows 10 and Nvidia Studio Drivers.

Sorry to hear you're having problems with HDAs in Unreal. Since this does not seem to be a Steam-specific issue please submit a bug for this to SideFX Support here: https://www.sidefx.com/bugs/submit/ (you will need a SideFX account). You can also post about this issue in SideFX's "Houdini Engine for Unreal" forum here: https://www.sidefx.com/forum/51/
