Differences between Houdini Engine from SideFX and Steam

From what I understand the license provided by SideFX allows one with a Houdini Indie license to install the Houdini Engine Indie license on three different computers without having to install the Houdini Indie on each of them.
How would I do this using the license from Steam?
How many Houdini Engine Indie licenses accompany Steam's Houdini Indie?
How do I install Steam Houdini Engine licenses on a teammate's computer?

Houdini Engine Indie is not currently available as a standalone download on Steam. It is required to install Houdini Indie in order to access Houdini Engine. It would be best to get Houdini Engine Indie for free from SideFX's website if you want to install Houdini Engine Indie separately from Houdini Indie on multiple computers.

If I already get Houdini Indie from Steam, how do I use/install Houdini Engine Indie?
