Is it possible to install and run defferent versions on the same PC?
Because C4D need a specified version to use.

Yes, it is possible to install and run different versions of Houdini Indie through Steam on the same PC by following these steps:

1. Go to Houdini Indie in your Steam Library and right-click on it.
2. Select "Properties"
3. Select the "Betas" tab
4. From the drop down menu select the version or "build" of Houdini that you want to use.

Send me a message if there is a specific version of Houdini Indie you need that is not currently available in the Betas menu.

Not to hijack this thread...but using this method it seems to allow only one version at a time. How can you run two or more versions on the same computer?

You can only run one instance of Houdini Indie on Steam at a time, unfortunately that is a limitation that Steam has. If this affects your workflow significantly it would probably be best to use Houdini through SideFX's license system instead of through Steam.

Out of curiosity, why would you want or need to run multiple different versions of Houdini at the same time?

There are some very good tutorials out there that were created for older versions, and as Houdini is continually updating (a good thing) it makes these tutorials obsolete. It would be nice to be able to uses an older version when needed.

Ok thanks for that feedback Steve. If there is a specific older version of Houdini that you would like access to for tutorial purposes let me know and I'll see if we can add that version to Steam.

Yep, Projet Titan is made in the last version of Houdini, I believe in the last 19, most of the HoudiniAcademy tutorial is made in 18.5, so, different versions are needed to follow those, but we can install and uninstall on the way, thank you Ben.
