Hey Everyone..LOVE this game! I love Medieval Total War too..my two favs and spend too many hours playing them than I'd like to admit LOL.....
My question is I just got a new computer for gaming and I'm looking to buy another Total War or Ultimate General type game with strategy, battles and building up....What are your suggestions? Thanks a lot !

you can check out the rest of total war's series(I personally don't really like the total war games tho), gamelabs also has a few more games but I haven't played any of them yet.

Scourge of War: Gettysburg
I have both of these games. And I have all the realistic graphics "modes for 2022. So graphically, the game is absolutely advanced. is better than anything currently on the market. It's a simulator.

Unfortunately, the brilliant "MOD designer died suddenly at the age of 30. I've been playing it for 10 years. I have all the DLC. I play several battles every year.
I still have unfinished DLC and after 10 years I still enjoy it.

Medieval 2 is a great one. Rome II is excellent, and very deep. If you enjoy fantasy (and the Warhammer universe), than Warhammer I, II, and III are okay. Outside of that, they haven't made a decent Total War in a while, IMHO. Thrones of Britannia is pretty good, but shallow compared to most other titles and has different mechanics, so it gets review bombed pretty hard.

If you are just after real time strategy tactical games. i would suggest playing ultimate admiral as well.

When you see what graphics I have and what flags I have. Then you will watch.

When more people come together I go into the game and give them all the graphic modes and adjustments in 4K.If you want this graphic add me to your friends. If more people sign up.. then I will start playing as well and I will create download for functional graphic mods in the game.
No one else in the world already has these functional modes. I've been playing it for 10 years. lmao

I've been interested in Pike and Shot, but it doesn't seem to ever go on sale and is pretty expensive.

Out of the Total War games, I highly recommend Shogun 2, together with the Fall of the Samurai expansion. With the Darth Mod they are very excellent. Especially the latter you can have line infantry and get something pretty similar to this.

But outside of the Total War games I'm not really sure, this is a pretty niche genre.

Before this Civil War game, there is Ultimate General: Gettysburg which focuses on just the Gettysburg battle, but otherwise it's pretty much the same as this, a little bit different.

Watch the game play video on YouTube. Just to get the jest of how it is played. You will be playing with both men on shore, as well as with ship to ship battles.

So if you're looking for tactical real-time battles and empire management on a big map, then consider the Hegemony series. All have sandbox as well as historical campaigns.
