Ultimate General: Napoleonic Wars?
What do you think folk is it good idea for a game? I would love it :)

Right now they are working on American Revolution, but that will be awhile because the devs are in Ukraine.....

But they have said that Napoleon will be done at some point, but they want to get it perfect

American Revolution will be far more interesting than Napoleon. I think Napoleon is too big of a premise for this style of game and much less interesting. There are some nice smaller wars that would be a lot more manageable.

And I hope for only single player, no MP so the game can be kept historical.

Why call me stupid? Just ask a civil question.
Because MP needs perfect balance or the players complain bitterly. And historical battles were almost never balanced so we lose the historical feel of the battle from all the tweaks and balancing players demand for battles and units.

The campaign wouldn't be balanced the same way as the MP battles, so having MP balance wouldn't effect you one bit

MP still has a lot of negative effect. It uses up most of the developers' time trying to balance those MP maps and create them instead of improving the single player campaign. And this game's developers are already struggling even with only the single player focus cause this style of game is very complex to design. That's why most games with MP barely have any single player content which is usually rubbish. MP is a turn-off for a lot of people wanting a quality game.

Fair enough, although I disagree. Having a MP part of your game doesn't always mean the SP is going to be bad

So you're saying Gettysburg wasn't a quality game? Just because you prefer SP over MP doesn't make MP games less quality than MP.
