The battle I hated most was on Legendary difficulty -- the CSA Brandy Station battle -- you have only AI supplied men, mostly Cavalry, and you have to stop waves of Union coming at you from all directions. Ugh.
Everettsville(nothing but trees) and Distress Call(the terrible pathing around the forts) are my two least favorite.
Pretty impressive, when I fought there it was just a bloody chaos. I like how well-ordered he acts, keeps formation and lines and whipes the Confeds systematically out.
It was always end up with my crashing headlong into union lines then last ditch suicide charging the defences and effectively losing most of my army
Yeah, this is one of a hell to start a campaign with. What where the devs thinking? All in all it's a cool battle and, at least in my opinion, way easier than the first battle of the Confed campaign. But yeah, it's made to scare off and chase off new players
You do have more time then you think on Hardin Pike, but the game is vague about how much time you have in the 'Finish' phase or whether the phase exists at all for that battle. Unless one read a guide, you would believe you had far less time then you actually do which is one my issues with this battle and a few others. Looking back I could've done it better, but reloading would be kind of cheesy, and the map just annoys me entirely too much. I appreciate the example and advice though.
