mods

this game should have mods or a workshop. what do you guys think?

You can mod the game nearly everything using a HxD program , Weapons stats , Money , Recruits , General Names etc its really not that hard when you get used to it , Just remember to back up the files your going to mod.....

To find the mod go to the official Gamelabs forums and download it from there.

To install simply extract this into the steam\steamapps\common\Ultimate General Civil War\Ultimate General Civil War_Data folder. Override when prompted. To uninstall simply verify files. This is save game compatible so no worries about ruining them.

Yes it would a nice move the mouse and click. That would make it easyand most important, keep it simple.

Guys modding the game is really easy when you get used to it just download the HxD editor and the Cheat Engine ...............+ im no genius so dont underestimate yourselves..

This isnt about whether its easy or not, more about convenience. Having a workshop is always more convenient than having to download outside programs, not to mention the fact that I would likely not be the most imaginative modder and I would prefer to have an easily accesible place where people that actually know what they are doing can provide cool mods to try out

Ideally, most mods for this game would just be user made historical battles.

I would love user made battles and would contribute alot of time producing just that for all of us. You can go to the Game-Labs forum and see they have been discussing this for some time. I really wish Darth would have spent more time on this gem. He really had something here.

He's always been immersed in a culture that avoided buying newer Total War games because of great mods made for older titles.
