Campaign always ends when your reputation is 0 or below.
Losing 2nd Bull Run on MG is -38, I had 29 or so.

Like others said, the endings are all based upon what you pick in the begining and the level of play. I remember BG, with politics, is governor of either New York or Virgina. I can't remember COL for either side. l know MG, with politics, is President of USA or CSA. I don't think I have ever taken economics or army in the begining.

No screenie, but Col CSA (with a Politics trait at beginning) resulted in a military history or tactics professorship at Virginia Military Institute. Which strikes me as a much more pleasant life than being a Governor or President, lol.

I think my Col Union campaign ended with a railroad presidency. Don't recall what the starting traits were.

yes, on legendary and MG you are elected President

I suspect that careerpoints or K/D may play a role.

Ha..I was wondering if there were any non-positive endings (return from war missing a leg, wife's run off with the local banker, drank yourself into oblivion over having killed your own brother who fought for the other side with your cannon, etc.)

Fredericksburg defeat, is it one which Bramborough got winning on Col?

@CivWar
I think worst possible endings are for losing first battles, but even they are not that bad.

What are the losing screens for the Union? Early on they must be pretty harsh.

This thread makes me want to start a new campaign and lose the battles just to see the endings. Then playing them of course to win, so I can go onto the next battle.

Your wise superiors decided it's impractical to entrust modern rifles to troops with 15 firearms skill huh. They did not arm your boys with pikes at least, lol.
