Union Stones River - stolen supplies
In multi-day battles supply wagons are refilled for player's cash, if he has any.
So my artillery happily spent almost 3 full 35 000 supply wagons on the first day and I had some money stored to replenish them.

But there were no supply wagons available on day 2 at all, around 80 000 $ just disappeared without any track.

Resume - don't go into that battle with lots of unspent money

Yeah--I instead stash money in the supply wagon of the extra corps (if I have one) so I can switch supply if needed. That's a first, though, of it disappearing completely!

maybe it was captured by the enemy?

Supply wagons were not deployed right from the start of day 2, capture can't be an issue here.

The Union does not receive any supply wagons on Day 2 of Stone's River. It sucks a lot. Don't worry Pimp you will get your 80 grand back after the battle. I try to always have extra $ for multi-day battles. Stones River is the only battle off the top of my head that doesn't give you wagons on day 2.

Kristoph, but I did not get it back. After battle wagons are refilled to full for free, regardles. So it does not matter, do you have 80k or 0 in bank after day 1, after battle result will be the same (0$ and full wagons). Right thing to do was to manually unload wagons in camp after day 1, but who did know they will not be available.
Quartermeister must have thrown great New Year party for my troops at least with all that cash lol.

Actually I've found positive side of it. Going into Chancellorsville I've stacked unused money into 4th corps supply, as CivWar suggested. In mid-battle camps I've gradually taken them and spent on officer replacements/replenishing wagons of fighting corps. And after battle that 4th Corps wagon turned out to be full again.

Thinking on it Pimp, you are absoultely right. I try to roll with 25k-40k extra cash for supply in multi-day battles. I have a note nex to Stones River that says have 0 cash. I thought everyone knew about the store extra $ in non-used corps wagons and pull from it. Regardless, Im glad you got a positive side out of it.
That is why the battle goes from December 31, 1862 to January 2, 1863. The quarter master throws the bestest rockin New Years Party ever and everyone on both sides are hung over for 2 days. LOL

That's why my troops stink on that last day.

It's a reported bug that very likely won't be fixed.
