Last 2 confederate medals

Just finished confederate campaign on hard difficulty (major general) with my victory at washingtin. Thought I would get my last 2 missing medals but have not, anyone any idea why not?

In one of the very heated threads about this subject one of the developers made a very short, single sentence comment (one of the very, very few by the devs). He said (paraphrasing) "You must win every battle", in order to get the last medals.

Barring bugs, which have happened. There are a few players who admit that thay have not completed campaigns and yet have received the last two medals, and even players who admit that their canpaign was not even on MG and still got the last two medals...so these are bug related.

In another very heated thread, this one thread was deleted by the devs, a certain poster revealed that (paraphrasing) "medals are tied to the number of career points you have".

Put these two comments together and you get the impliction that you "must win every battle", while not skipping any, thereby being awarded every possible career point in order to be awarded all 7 medals.

So, crazzycatt, I can only ask you this question...did you skip any battles on your path to winning at Washington? If so, then taking the above statements at being the truth, this would explain why you did not get the last two medals. And to not get the 6th medal, maybe you skipped more than one battle?

I only skipped 1 battle, one of the minor battles on the Washington map. I did play the other minor battle on the Washington map though and won that as with all the others. So I skipped 1 battle and lost the chance of the 2 medals. I have saved so can go back and redo that battle and Washington again then we will know for certain. Thanks for the advice!

Well, that's just my reply to your post. This whole medal thing has been such a controversy, and so incredibly bugged, that honestly who the heck really knows what will happen next for you. It may be that you are simply one of the great many being bitten by the bug, that is still not fixed.

As for me, the progression of receiving medals has changed from previous patterns. All victories, never skipped any battle...EVER...in any play through, but my medals have come in a different pattern than previous play throughs. That's encouraging. According to this new pattern I should get the Union 6th with my next victory (Chickamauga) or the minor immediately after. We'll see. I'll be playing that Chickamauga battle today, very soon. I really hope I don't get the bug.

I won every battle on Colonel, and I received the medals anyway; the last one after Cold Harbor.

You got the Southern Cross of Honor after Cold Harbor (Confederate top medal)? Or the Medal of Honor?

I received the Southern Cross of Honor on Colonel. I just got the Union level 6 on Colonel, also (after Chickamauga).
Both campaigns were started 1.0+
I am not complaining LOLOL

That does sound like a bug, as the achievement states on MG (hard).

I finally did not get totally burned by the bug, and got the 6th Union Medal on MG with my just-now victory at Chickamauga. It's only taken like two campaignes even after the 1.0+ patch. 'Bout time. And 4 campaignes since they said it was fixed a while ago. Hopefully everything still works for the last one...crossing my fingers.

However, it still is not even close to fixed, as evidenced from above. And some players have them even though they have not even gotten past Gettysburg.

Since I never skip battles, and have a victory in every battle, and my medal progress followed a different pattern this campaign than from all other campaigns, I'd say that it is indeed true that getting the medals legitimately is tied to the number of career points you have earned. I have earned every possible career point so far...and always have.

I just finished the MG Confederate campaign last week, won cold harbor on the first day, did not get the southern cross of honor. Started a new play through on colonel couple days ago, just won cold harbor today, and got the medal
