Severely outnumbered. How is this possible?
I love this game, but you're always severely outmumbered. This is as many toops as I was able to muster, and look at the enemy's ammount of troops. This is ridiculous!

Nearly 46,000 vs 17,000. I almost held them right up until the end. It's ♥♥♥♥ like this which pisses me off.

Difficulty? I usually fight 2nd Bull run as Confeddies at a 2:1 rate

I'm on the easiest difficulty. I used up nearly all of my money too.

If you're that badly outnumbered, it simply looks like you are playing on a wrong difficulty. I mean no offense here but if your army is only 17000 strong at this point, it means you've lost too many men in your campaign so far.
I'd encourage you to look through my tips for new players thread in the stickies, perhaps check out a few of my videos that I know have helped a a lot of people and perhaps try the easy setting.

Did you draw/lose several other battles? I had 35k troops at my last CSA 2nd Bull Run on normal.

Then you've lost too many men/money in the previous battles. To put it simply, learn to minimize your casualties.

Did you use all of your recruits too?
Can you inset a screenshot of your army camp prior to fighting that battle?

I'm not a new player. I've had this game since it came out. I've won most of the previous battles before 2nd Bull Run. Do you think the game is possibly glitched becuse it's the same save file from release? It may have messed it up since it's been updated so many times since then.

I doubt so.

Its more likely you severely mismanaged your funds and took incredible casualties.

Winning all battles prior to that you would easily be able to field at least 30k men, from your screenshot too you seem to have a incredibly low number of cannons as well.

ALTHOUGH, balance changes since then might have made what was a good army back then bad right now. I only got the game recently so I'm not sure of its state at release.

I don't take that many casualties in battles. The only one I did was Shiloh because it glitched out. My force of nearly 4,000 men couldn't defeat the Union's last regiment of 300 men.
And I hate using cannons. They don't seem to do very much.

Go to your career screen, mouseover your previous battles and link us some casualty reports.

And possibly your career levels too, just noticed you don't have 4 recon to enable the power bar.

That's way too many defeats. You can mouse over each battle's name to bring up the battle statistics.

I tried that. And like I said, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ or either glitched out. Because at Shiloh my force of 4,000 men couldn't defeat the Union's last regiment of 300 men, and then I rage quit for about a month after that crap.
