Henry Rifle Brigade
Has anybody tried arming a whole brigade with Henry rifles? Im considering buying them up throught the campaing to have enough for a whole brigade by Washington. Will they be as devastating as I think they might be? What do you guys think?

Simillar one, Spencer rifle is better tiered and you can actually have enough of them to arm a brigade. And from my experience, CSR is much better choice. I believe Henry is also not better than CSR.

Isn't Spencer for cavalery and skirmishers only though? That BTW is what prompted my wondering in the first place. I had a Spencer armed dragoons in one of my games and those guys were absolutly crazy. They could route any brigade in a matter of seconds.

Ok just checked, there are 2 kinds of Spencers, one for skirmishers and the other for infantery. So what you are saying is Im gonna get enough Spencer rifles to buy as the CSA to arm a brigade or two by the time I reach Washington?

I mean, you'd better arm your elite brigade with CS Richmond, or something simillar tiered regular rifle. Sometime, even 1855 HF perfrom better than Spencer, rifle one.

Yes high tier classical rifles (CSR, 1863s) are better suited for infantry than repeating rifles. Skirmishers will do wonders with the Spencer rifles, Spencer carbines are better suited for cavalry.

I never tried the Henry personally but from what I hear they're really not worth it.

Ok, thanks guys. I have over 200k leftover before Fredricksburg now and was wondering if there is any suitable investment for it :). Guess not though sadly.

If you want performance, and probably you would considering cost of repeaters, they are not worth for their price.

But if's fun to use. If you place your repeater unit in wood and enemy should advance though open field, repeater will shred them. Really awesome.

I witness this as Union, and my Spencer rifle armed brigade in Round Top fortification shred every rebel brigades zerg in.

But except that situation, it hardly shine and demand much micro.
