Way too easy to win Cold Harbor as the Union
I just finished downloading the patch, and moved on to continue my march while singing to the tune of the Battle Cry of Freedom when to my utter astonishment I found that literally the easiest battle I've seen in this game yet came from what should be the hardest battle in the game.

Yes the Battle of Cold Harbor, the one battle Ulysses S Grant admitted nearly broke him by just how futile the assualts were, this battle is by far and way the easiest in the entire Union campaign.

I won this battle, with less than 1500 casualties, I haven't lost that few since the opening skirmishes of the war before any new patches came in.

The battle opens up with one of your corps curb stomping a weak confederate attack on entrenched postions where a 200 man skirmisher regiment can hold out against a 1100 man Confederate Brigade, okay fine trenches are OP just goes to show how insanely difficult the next day will be when I assualt the Rebel trenches.

Sadly for Robert E Lee he didn't account for the fact I can win the entire battle on the first day by taking a road on the right flank that is protected by...

Three artillary brigades and a few 700-900 man brigades.

Where my 2nd division was sitting perfectly on their flank, while my 1st sat in trenches while the Confederate army might as well have just shot themselves and saved some time.

My 2nd division of my 1st corps charged the heights of Fredricksburg, they held off Picket's Charge. They rolled Jackson like a carpet during the 1st and 2nd battles of Manassas and fought hand to hand for the Sunken Road at Antietam. They held the fortifications at Gaines Mill and Malvren Hill. They all were 3 stars and had captured Fayatteville Rifles with 2000 men in each brigade.

This might as well have been just a casual walk in the park for my boys.

I honestly couldn't believe it was that easy to win one of the most lopsided Confederate victories of the Civil War as the Union. I lost countless men winning the battles of the Wilderness and Spotslyvania Courthouse because I was convinced I needed every advantage I could get going into this battle, but now I feel like an idiot for because all I needed was 20 good men and I could just Ramsay Bolton my way to Richmond.

Did you capture the VP required for victory during this phase ?

I personally tried it and the AI counter attacked fiercely, pushing me back rather easily.

What's you difficulty level btw ? could help for a report.
