Perryville...again
I was told that Perryville was in the campaign, but my campaign went from Sharpsburg to Fredericksburg. What gives?

Perryville is a side battle after Antietam. Only for a Union playthrough.

it should be a major battle because Bragg and Kerby Smith from invading Kentucky. After this battle the South was never able to try it again. If they had been able to pull it off then the war may have turn out different.

At least be consoled that it allows you to deploy an entire Corps for the battle, all 24 brigades if you have access to that many at the time. That's pretty rare for side battles.

If we all had our way there would be 30 major battles and 75 minor battles. And navies. And tanks.

You can deploy 14 brigades. Pretty vanilla defending mission that is fun the first time because you don't know exactly where the units are coming from. But once you know that, it becomes a very easy and profitable mission.

Maybe thinking of South Mountain???, which SAYS you can deploy 24, but really you can only deploy 20.

That still sucks. It was a very pivotal battle and one of the bloodiest (for numbers engaged) throughout the whole war. I guess I'll be giving him a holler and pleadin the case.

Plead your case for me too to play as the Confederates at Perryville, I've been to this battlefield many times it's so pristine with rolling hills one of my favorite battlefields to visit. Tactical victory for the south and captured Frankfort in Kentucky only capital captured by the south, so Kentucky played a huge role for the Confederates for awhile untill the ultimate withdrawal into Tennessee

I have totally researched the battle (specifically the northern flank) and volunteer there regular. In fact, this weekend I'll be staying at the Bottom House.

Wow what an honor I was there visiting last month I followed Maney's attack this last trip, had the whole battlefield to myself that day it was awesome and surreal.

Where are you from? Perhaps some day I can take you on a walkthrough of that flank. Did you happen to see the sign at the High Water Mark? My group is responsible for that.
