Gettysburg victory conditions (CSA)
I have played it as the Union and had to hold out until day 3. Even by that point the South was a shell of their former self. So I took 2-3 corps and hit with a mighty left hook taking out their artillery. I took another corps and hit with a right routing or forcing a surrender of the rest. I almost started with the South but wanted to see if the day 1 or 2 victory conditions are still available. If so what are they?

It is probably easier for you to see if you go to the historical battle in game and check out the victory conditions yourself .

True, but I have studying to do for CCNA and figured this is quicker.

I've never experimented with a day 1 or 2 victory. But I know that a day 3 victory is possible if you capture seminary Ridge. There's incredibly little incentive to do so since merely holding out until the end of the day will result in the day four scenario which you can finish at any time.

I know that the CSA needs to capture Cemetery Hill on Day 1 to change the scenario. Beyond that is unknown. I played as the USA and won but wrecked my army with Chickamauga coming up. I bagged their army, most of their weapons and supplies, but lost about 25,000-30,000.

If you straight up defend, the goal is to have 10K casulaties or less. Since you control all the objectives and the good ground from the get go, Gettysburg should be a very good opportunity to fight defensibly and profitably.

But if you're just in it for the fun, opportunities for counter-attacking and beating the crap out of the Rebs are ample as well.

I am playing as the CSA, opportunities for day 1 or day 2 victory?

If you capture any one of the fish hook union objective points, you get the win at the end of the phase.
Day one you can win by capturing cemetery hill.
Day two you attack the round tops and can won by capturing either enemy objective.
Picketts Charge scenario on day 3 is pretty easy to get the south cemetery Ridge objective.

Plenty of options to win depending on your personal objectives for the battle (max experience, max weapon drop, minimal casualties taken, picketts Charge win, complete destruction if enemy, etc.)

I struck quick and took the 3 VPs within the first phase, then moved up more men to hold the grounds. Dispatching the Iron Brigade was cheap since they were in 5 well depleted regiments that came up to my 3,000 men on Seminary Ridge. 2 volleys with each regiment and they deserted. My 3rd Corps struck South and along with my 2nd Corps swept them back to Cemetary HIll and ran into my first real fight of the battle. I made 2 groups of 4 Brigades together and struck 2 separate brigades. This punched holes in their lines on Cemetary Hill allowing me to flood the rear.

I just took Cemetary Hill but didn't like it too much when the Union sent a lone brigade to attack the other points. I split 4 off to guard them. I then came down on the left over troops like a sledgehammer after securing Cemetary Hill. I lost 8,000 men to their almost 17,000 men. Came away with about 5500 Harper's Ferry 1855s along with a shopping list of different weapons. 3 of 7 Union corps were nearly destroyed.

Well done, mate. Glad you enjoyed it.

I was expecting a drag out fight over 2-3 days and 20,000-25,000+ casualties. On to Chickamauga.
Gettysburg is a walk in the park compared to chickamauga. I did similar to your path. Taking the first two objectives is relatively easy.
