Level 42 hint is broken

The hint avatar disapears after a few moves, and then it is no longer possible to click any of the bars. Thus the game becomes stuck as you can make no further progress.

Could you please restart the game to check if the hint avatar appears somehow. If not, you need to manually solve the level to move forward.

Another option, please wait for our next roll out, will ensure that the game gets the proper fix with level 42 hint.

Well, thanks for not forgetting about it. It's no problem I already completed it in the meantime but just wanted to let you know, since I've seen people who drop the game completely because of level 42. Alternatively I could complete the level again when I have the time, record myself and create a guide but if the fix is coming I don't think there would be need ofi it.

A guide to finish Level 42 :), thats not a bad idea - Its always good to showcase the puzzle solving skill. After all, the hint system pretty much does the same - except the character showing the steps to solve the puzzle.

I would really appreaciate if you can share the video in this tab, will really help the users.

A year later from my original post, Level 42 hint is still broken.

As a workaround, I discovered the game is also on Google Play Store for free, the levels appear to be identical. So I worked my way up to level 42 and the hint on there does work. Just copied the moves while having both open.

Hope this helps anyone in need.
