Savegame location
Hey guys,

anyone know where to find the savegames?
I've played quite a bit, and I can't find the files where my progress is saved.
There's no cloud support, and I don't want to play the caves all over again on my laptop.

Any ideas?

While I know it's a little bit of a bummer that it didn't make launch, we're looking at adding the cloud save support now for an update. Thanks for the patience.

So where are the save files stored?

The save game data was saved as a Unity encrypted string (not user editable), but this will not matter now as we are close to releasing the Could Save feature.

OK. I didn't want to edit the files just back them up. I have 2 PC's in my computer room both running steam and I wanted to transfer the save files from one to the other to play on the gaming PC sitting on my sofa rather than at my desk.
I'll wait for cloud access, busy at moment anyway.
Thanks

@ Tapstar,
Is there any update on when Steam Cloud will be added ?

Like Gray above , I want to be able to play on another PC in the house but all progress was done on my htpc in my living room .

Could you at least tell us the location and file name for the saves so it can be transferred between computers while we're waiting for you to add Steam Cloud ?

Thanks.

The save location is in the registry:
Win7: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AppDataLow\Software\Tapstar Interactive\Boulder Dash®]
Win10: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tapstar Interactive\Boulder Dash®]

export the registry key on PC1 (Win7 in my case) and import it to PC2 (Win10 in my case). That works for me fine. I must change the path in this case. If you have the same OS, you can import the file without editing it.

Thanks for this .

I'll try it later .

It's a bit strange that they didn't just have a normal save game file like most other games .

We're working on the Steam Cloud Save version, we should be fully tested and updated later this week.

Hey there!
How does one go about deleting all previous save games?

You can reset data in Options. Hope this helps. :steamhappy:
