My PS5 controller works without issue. I don't use any software either like DS4Windows. The very first time I ran the game, the controller didn't work, but I closed the game out and opened it again and it worked. I've seen that happen before where I have to close the game and open it again.

I've noticed it not working as easily anymore to where closing the game and reopening doesn't fix it. However, something crazy that seems to work is to start the game (controller probably isn't working), then unplug the controller then plug it back in (game should crash because Koei sucks with PC ports). Restart the game and the controller should work. Works every time now.

I found a slightly less annoying way to get the controller to work. Open the launcher instead of the main game. With the launcher open, unplug the controller then plug it back in (this won't crash the game like my first post). Once you plug it back in, click "Play Game." It's worked every time on the first try for me when I did it this way.
