I, myself, enjoyed going through it reliving the story moments and rejogging my memory of reading the manga. I enjoyed having to play different characters and seeing how differently they're animated. I feel like the animations are loyal to the source material especially how Guts swings his sword. Many of the animations I recall him swinging it and using techniques that he used in the manga and I very much appreciate it. The gameplay is pretty okay, it has some good feeling/satisfying moments though I don't know if it feels lackluster compared to the actual Dynasty Warriors series since I never played them (Only ones I've played were Hyrule Warriors, Fire Emblem Warriors and obviously Berserk and I enjoyed my time with them all. Never did I outright hated or disliked them). There is a drastic difference in difficulty between Hard and Berserk difficulties. I can't play Berserk difficulty without dying in like the first 5 seconds, while Hard mode feels like I'm playing on Easy, in comparison or even in general.
Overall, I liked my time with it and will continue to keep playing it but I wouldn't recommend spending full price on it. Definitely on sale, if you're a big fan of Berserk.
i think i like the PS2 game more, and even that isn't the best,
but I'd say it's better than this imo.
You can download it with ENG translation these days.
but the PC port is seriously trash. It runs bad, i remember dated menus popping up before launch, something about compatibility, no PS button inputs, idk, it wasn't for me.
I'd say if you wanted a decent Musou, you could emulate some Gundam ones
or better yet, Hyrule Warriors 1 or 2.
