I had to fight one on the Femto with Judeau. Since Femto doesn't start to move until you get within a certain range of him I first engaged the Demon, which spawned to the left of the starting point, well away from Femto. Once I had aggro on him I proceeded to pull him down into that little nook and killed him there. Only once that was done did I go and start the fight with Femto.
I don't know if there are other spawn locations for the Demons on Femtos arena, but if there are, hopefully they are all far enough away so that you can first kill the demon at your leisure and only then start the annoying and boring Femto fight.
are you sure about it being random? because for example in the 5 layers with the lord of thieves there is always a swd on the second layer and always two on the third. not sure if that is an exception because 2 of the 3 other layers aren't really big enough
It might be non-random for some layer section. I haven't really recorded everything, but I do know that certain layer sections, e.g. 96-100, have random placements of the demons.
Similarly, some missions use a fixed map sequence for their five layers (Ganishka mission would be an example - layer 91-95), while other missions have a pool of five maps assigned to them and chose one at random for any given layer, but won't repeat any of the maps (Zodd mission, layer 21-25, would be an example).
ok that makes sense
