I'm thinking about going through the game again on Berserk difficulty as well. Though I'm gonna have to take a break first because grinding the eclipse kinda bored me. Btw would you recommend the dlc? Is it any good?
I'm still struggling, not so much with playing the game, but with the random level end crashes that are happening every so often. At least I found out that 5 layers are counted as one level in Endless Eclipse. Still doesn't help much if, for example, you just beat Ganishka and the game crashes. This means you have to do layer 81-95 again.
Anyway, at least the level end crashes are the only factor still stopping me a bit, aside from my stuipidity at times, like not paying attention and missing one of the War Demons on layer 96-100 with Schierke. Means I have to do that entire segment again, hopefully without crashes.
Problem with that is, that the crashes are happening at the end of a level (either game or after 5 layers which load in and are handled by the game as a single level) and the Quicksave ends the mission right then and there. I might try it, but on loading the level the Quicksave made from the battle menu will be deleted. So if it crashes after the results screens I'm screwed either way, as the game does not save that state as a level end state.
The most annoying thing about this bug is I can't predict when it will be happening. Yesterday I played 30 layers (i.e. six levels) just fine with Judeau. Then I took a break and came back later and I got the crash after one 5 layer (i.e. one level) game with Judeau, then I tried again to get the last Behelith I forgot with Schierke on layers 81-100 and got the crash on 85, again, after the results screen.
The game seems to crash while trying to load up the menu again.
I certainly would wish that KT would have a better support for their games. Many problems like this just seem to remain unfixed. You also don't see any devs or even support staff on the forums that could relay these problems. There also isn't any Bugs or Technical Problems section on this forum, not even a sticky with a support webpage address. A publisher of the size of KT should be able to scrounge out the money for at least one support staff member that monitors all of the PC published games and relays back problems, especially considering the asking price for their games.
Got all warhorses and consumable items last night...only about 12 Behelits left, but if my math is right (and they follow the pattern), the rest should also come with the eclipse runs. Haven't tried BERSERK mode bosses yet, but I assume with berserk armor/perma-Femto/perma-Apostle it'll be easy.
Thankfully I've gotten through the 100 levels with Guts, Griffith, Shierke, and Zodd. Wyald, Judeau, Casca, and Serpico are at 80 or higher.
**Anyone have tips for playing Serpico? I find him to be the weakest of the set (Wyald and Casca, imo, are pretty close to him) and struggled very hard in the 81-100 range.
Thanks for the help in advance!
I'm sure the idol will drop or be in shop somewhere...less worried about that. But I'll definitely start with Ganishka farming :)
I think the major issue with Serpico was indeed the ramp up...once I was getting Max Frenzy I was fine. I had the unicorn on for luck but yeah, skull knight is what I should be running. I'll try and build him with frenzy, maybe some dexterity items. I think I was just trying to ramrod through the levels like I had just done with Zodd, and the two obviously play differently. Thanks for the suggestions!
