is this a good port?

tecmo koei isn't very known for their good ports on pc. is berserk the same or they finally start to figure it out?

I'm playing on an i7-6700k+GTX 1070 with PS4 controller and have been playing for about three hours and haven't noticed any major problems. I'm pretty sensitive to things like screen tearing and frame rate drops and haven't noticed much of that, except in the anime cut scenes. In game, it runs great for me, but I'm sure other people will chime in with their problems. I seem to recall people being upset that it either doesn't support keyboard and mouse very well or not at all.

Its all acrossed the board people with 980tis-1080s have reported many drops in this game. Heres an example I recorded over some settings that constantly seem to cause issues for everyone across the board and the difference it makes turning them off.
I'm running a i7 4790k 4.0ghz, 32gb ram, 980ti SC and having the below issues.(You can see the issues in the first about 2 minutes of the video.)

its really not bad for a koei port....but its not perfect. Bad mouse and keyboard support like usual. They give a good ammount of graphic settings. There is a problem with one of them though Enviroment setting is bugged and causing frame rate drops. Its a post processing filter but setting it to low turns it off and fixes the frame drops.

It's okay. Options wise it's better than most of their games. Environmental detail is bugged and kills performance on High. Kb&m support is probably awful.

It's good for being a Koei port, doesn't mean that it's a good port though.

Yes it is a good port.
Playing with a 980ti @ 1440p IN 3D with a 3D vision patch.. And its perfect (not playing in compatability mode) just using win 10. Alpha 3d vision patch up on nvidia forums.
People should have no problems running this game if it is set up correctly.

Turn grass off and environmental detail to low instead of high and you won't get drops. I know, I know turning down settings on a vita game, but this is Tecmo Koei afterall.

I'm not sure what is going on with your setup. Your GPU should be able to power this game fine. Have you updated your drivers? Did you accept the option to tun in Windows 7 compatability mode? If so did you try not accepting (Or are you using win 7)? I'm running Windows 10 and not using compatability mode.
Since I'm using 3d vision that cuts frame rate in half, and at 1440p my system is running this game at a much higher level of difficulty. Maybe your CPU is slowing the game down? I don't know how much CPU dependence there is here. I do have a 6700k overclocked..

I knew nothing about Berserk going in, just really liked the character design, and I also enjoy the musou forumla. I've been having a blast with it.

i like berserk as whole and i enjoy the dynasty games. i just want to know if this is a good port or i should just stick to console version of the game. thank god they're starting to understand how it works.
