I think it does it's job heavily abridging the series well; if you want an uncut story, you read.
Simple. I didn't buy the game to get a recap on the first 3 arcs.
Whats really stupid is when you are in frenzy mode you can clearly see that you are severing people in half in. Yet, they chose hide the gore in the cutscenes... kind of contradictory no?
Kind of takes all the punch out of those moments as well.
How is it that anime ratings are fine but their game ratings are obnoxious?
Very very different rules in the censorship department.
It's only the manga/anime that is truly "true to heart", the games arent. Or they wouldn't make any money in the west :S
Alot of people think the western version is censored but this is wrong, its only the JP version that is censored, western version isn't. BUT if you were to compare the games to the manga/anime then yes you can consider the games censored. It all depends on which perspective you stand at.
As for how Censorship works between here and Japan. I am not even going to try and explain that, you can rearch that stuff on your own if you really want to know, but yeah. Not going to touch on that.
