Most disappointing is that you can only play as 8 characters from the roster even though there is plenty of characters in the game.

He's not playable, although there is a mod for ps3 where you can play Skull Knight, Grunbeld and His Dragon Form. So I'd expect the same for PC.

I don't know where you got that from. The Japanese DLC cycle was over long ago, and nothing of the sort happened.

It's only just releasing in America and then finally Europe in the coming days. Also, where did you get this "Japanese DLC cycle?"
The only DLC I was ever able to dig up on the Berserk game was Costumes and a few scenarios.
I severely doubt Koei Tecmo will only release costumes after fans continue to ask for more playable characters (They did exactly this for Hyrule Warriors.)
The first playable character wasn't released for DLC in HW until 2 months after international release.

So many ass decisions made with this game. No Skull Knight. No multiplayer. 30 FPS cap. 8 characters with the majority of the time played as Guts.

What a bunch of idiots in charge of this game.

Skull Knight always was like an almost divine character, showing up mysteriously at the most opportune of times. As such I don't think it would be fitting to have him playable.

Or something I dunno.
