I reward infinate dungeon games (when I can).
Maybe have a workshop for custom portraits people could put up.
Update, just finished playing it and it is like playing Zork with Graphics! Best 5$ spent this year.!!
Need achievements for this one tho... =/
When a warrior carries a sword and a shield, a double click on a two-handed weapon does not switch the weapon. Instead I am forced to remove both items manually and then I can put the two-handed weapon on.
Suggestion:
It's not a bug but a suggestion how to make the game a bit smoother by reducing lots of back and forth with the mouse.
When being on the inventory screen you have to keep clicking between item and different characters to compare item values with worn items to decide to switch.
The compare window with the worn item and the new one is nice. But it still requires to move back and forth which slows the pace of the game a little down.
It would be lovely if the item slots from all party members who are allowed to use the item could be visible togethr with the new item info window and the switch cold be done right from that selection windows. The screen should just have enoughs space in case the item can be used by all four party members.
At the moment all the back and forth with the mouse is messing a bit with the pace of the dungeon crawl. Maybe this idea could help?
The game is provided 'as is'. It's an old game from '08 and the developer is currently working on the next Monster's Den "Godfall" (which hopefully hits store late this year).
There's an intermediary Monster's Den version called "Chronicles" though, which has a ton of improvements over "Book of Dread", released on flash gaming platforms (Kongregate, Armorgames), that means not on Steam.
Thank you very much for th4at helpful information. There's so much going on, it's difficult to see everything.
I will have to check it out when I find the time for it.
Beta Q3 - Q4; possibly EA Q4 - Q2; and possible release Q2 of 2017
(or leave out possible dates altogether).
That News then goes on the Store page of your Book of Dread, which people will immediately see when they browse to it. The effect being that they now know this isn't your only game and that they can expect you to not alter/update the BoD much, because you're working on the next one.
At this time, the BoD game is a teaser for Godfall - which is perfectly fine. Use it. People that have played BoD (and possibly Chronicles) should have a much better time playing Godfall afterall. It can only get better, no? Going from a genius, but minimalist concept to more advanced systems with a genius fundamental basis (I'm using 'genius' from a developer's point-of-view).
