Download it, click "add a new game" and point it to your Phantasmagoria files that you just downloaded to your Steam directory. That's it. It starts first time perfectly, it's in the correct 4:3 resolution not horizontally stretched, and the video files look correct not grainy and awful. Enjoy.

Thank you, but the ScummVM doesn't find the Sierra* or Sierra Launcher.exe. So please, how does it work ? Thanks in advance.

start scummvm and browse to the game directory (add game), scvummvm should find it then and you cant start the game from within scumm.

Correct. Just a matter of pointing ScummVM to the files and it'll do the rest. Pretty simple.

Thank you for your quick reply. Unfortunately it won't work for me, whatever the reason is. ScummVM neither doesn't find *.exes nor anything else.

Ok. That's user error on your side then. And it doesn't even need the .exes.

\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Phantasmagoria\Phant is the path that works on my end. Obviously depending on where you have your Steam files.

That's exeactly there, where i also have the game installed. Thank you. Never mind, i will sometime try it out again when i reinstall my OS and Steam .

you can try on linux, also there are games that ship with ScummVM.

i have one version from gog.com and i have the steam version so maybe scummvm is included anyway.

These one game isn't worth it to buy and install especially linux to play it for a few hours. I just installed windows 10 on a clean disk and will try it out in the next time. Good bye and thank you again.

Unfortunately i've sold my old cd version long time ago, in the meantime i've played the Steam version of Phantasmagoria a few years ago. Of course without these Scumm.

how do you know ? i know for a fact that the gog version has scummvm included.

so maybe it's the same version anyway.

The image quality was soo low that i don't think that ScummvM is included.

the steam version comes with dosbox, you'll need to add the folder 'Phant' in the game directory to ScummmVM, then it should work.
