If you mouse over the different core virtues under the houses you can see the virtues and the vices that support them. The bold ones are Major.
So if our god wants an Embezzler, and mentions it's a she, you want to check the women of the houses for any Undisciplined? traits and inquire about them.
It is not the end of the world if you miss a single sacrifice. Pay attention to what house you sacrificed the previous season: they get really, really pissed no matter what if you do a repeat sacrifice. Have a backup scapegoat ready.
