Stuck trying to cut fish as Lewis

I am seriously stuck here. The hand just keeps moving back and forth. I have put all settings to low. I have done everything suggested from the reads. Tried moving the mouse and then click+drag and click then drag. Quit the game over and over. Nothing. Can't get control of his hand.

This is a game that really should be used with a controller. If you are able, get one, and I think you'll enjoy the game more (I played on the PS4 and had little trouble). Sometimes keyboard/mouse just doesn't work for games that require one to do two different things at the same time.

I had absolutely zero problems with keyboard and mouse. Everything worked just fine. Don't blame the tool, blame the fool, who can't use it.

The mechanic to grab the fish doesn't work if the game if working on a very low fps. I forced the game to run at 5fps and managed to reproduce this. Try lowering all settings to the minimum.
