General Edith Finch FAQ
What’s this game about?
It’s a collection of playable short stories about a cursed family in Washington State. Each story follows a different family member and ends with their death. You play as Edith Finch coming back to explore the house you grew up in, and inside each bedroom you’ll find a story about how that family member died.

Is it a walking simulator?
Not really. I mean, there’s walking in it, but there’s also tons of strange and unique gameplay as well. When you’re exploring the house as Edith the game looks a little walking simulator-ish, but each of the short stories you play has its own, completely different gameplay.

Is it a horror game?
It’s not meant to be scary, if that’s what you’re asking. And there are no jump scares. The tone is more ominous and unsettling.

Everybody dies? That sounds kinda dark.
Yeah, that’s life. There’s a lot of death in the game but it’s not meant to be depressing. It’s more of a joyful celebration in the face of the inevitable ending that awaits us all.

What platforms is the game on?
The game is currently available on Windows via Steam and on PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store.
