XBox 360 Controller- Wrong Button Names Fixed

When using an XBox 360 controller the game doesn't display the proper names of the buttons. It instead shows B1, B2 and so on. But I found a modification that fixes this and thought to share it with other Steam users who might of been annoyed by this issue.

It's amazing that nobody else is complaining about this in the forums. The 360bpfix doesn't work for me and just crashes the game when applied. Does anyone know of another solution?

What is most annoying though is when the game keeps prompting you to do a simple action like, open the door with certain button or some other action that needs not repeated when you see it for the thousandth time. This should be a feature to completely turn off prompts. We aren't inept at learning what to do with basic actions.

other games do the same thing too (just cause 3,etc)..i too find it annoying

For anybody that wants to know this post definitive edition you can use the gui.sds file from that game with the classic version and it seems to work just fine for xbox one/ series x controller.

Definitive Edition doesn't have this issue.
