FPS Issues with APEX PhysX on

Hey guys I have an issue with slow framerates when this setting is enabled. I have an i7 4770k and a single 980 gtx gpu and i can run most games at optimal settings with no framerate issues but when I enable this setting it starts slowing down....

Can someone who is knowledgable at this stuff help me?

apex is verry demanding on the cpu. to really make us of it u need a dedicated physx card. check your nvidia control panal so physx is not set to cpu. if it is chang it to your gpu

Too bad it doesn't run at all for me with Physx on because of a stupid APEX_Particles.dll file

turn it off it is full of issues including the slomo bug

turn it off it is full of issues including the slomo bug

That's ridiculous, why even bother releasing a game when, even after loads of patches, doesn't even work right?

It works for me, played the game for many hours, maxed out settings with slower hardware, fx 8320 and gtx 660, physx on high. Never encountered the "slomo bug" or any other bugs for that matter, and i have 50+ fps on 1080p res.

sucks for you getting 60fps with occasional drops to 30 (and I mean 30, nothing less or more which is almost like an error)

I semi-resolved this issue but going into the Nvidia Control Panel, clicking "surround, physx" and then making sure the GTX 980 was set for PhysX and NOT the CPU, which it was.

Drastically improved it but it didn't fix the issue I'm having still where the card is only registering at 30% load! If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this please let me know.

Those ancient physx games are nothing but trouble, just turn it off and forget about it.

Huh I am only running an i3 3240 and evga ftw 750 ti, Getting 60 maxed out little to no fps drops with physx enabled along with streaming it to my friend. Not sure how you guys are having issues?
