How to install Mafia 2 FreeRide Mod ( DLC ) ??

Hello,

I downloaded a Mod called FreeRide Mod for Mafia 2. It's in the DLC format like the dlcs in store.
But I have no idea how to install it, because I never bought any dlc's or something.
If I try to install it ( insert the files in Mafia 2 - PC folder ), Mafia 2 says I installed it, but I didn't bought it yet. But how I can buy something, if it is a mod for free ?
I downloaded it from here: http://mafiaii.net/wiki/modifikationen-mods/freie-fahrt-mod/

It's a german site, but anyway the download is easy to find.
I'm sorry for my english, I think it isn't the best, is it ? I'm from germany.

Hello, just read the ReadMe file you find after unpacking the rar file.
It says:
Replace "gui-main.sds"
C:\Program Files\Mafia II\pc\sds_en\gui

Copy "freeraid_main.sds"
C:\Program Files\Mafia II\pc\sds\missionscript

If you do, the free ride option is added in-game. You will be fine.

doesnt work for me the game doesnt want to startup until i give it the original gui

No you won't get banned for using mods since it's a single player game.

Hello, I can provide you the solution. You're using the steam's mafia2.exe and steamclient.dll and they lock your dlc.

You can crack the game and download the first file named Mafia II [5.1 MB] Fixed Files at https://gf.wiretarget.com/mafia_2.htm
