[BIG FIX] Common Issues on Modern Computers RESOLVED

I nearly encountered every issue the people are having with this game on modern systems. Here is a compiled fix section for possible problems you might encounter while trying to run this game.

Sky flickering, sun black flicker crash Fix

Download the 4gb Patch from here https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371

This patch fixed the issue for me. It enables 32-bit execute files to have 4gb virtual ram instead of 2. Download it, apply it to your mafia2.exe at "steamapps\common\Mafia II\pc" and the issue should be resolved.

Game won't launch, and I get no errors

This issue is very common and is probably caused by your modern PhysX files. Go to your control panel, uninstall PhysX (All of them, both Legacy and Modern if you have em) The issue should be resolved. Also you can install the PhysX files from the game folders to make sure.
How to? Go to "steamapps\common\Mafia II\3rd" and run the PhysX_9.10.0513_SystemSoftware.msi and let it install.

Game crashing at certain points, like in Chapter 2

Run the game on windowed mode and it should be resolved. If the tab thing on the upper side annoys you, download Windowed Borderless Gaming, it disables that stuff.

Slow motion during Police notifications fix

During the car lock-pick mission, you'll likely encounter this error. It's caused by high framerates. Temporarily run your game at 60fps to bypass this issue. You can do it on your Radeon software with Radeon Chill.

I can confirm 4gb patch fixes it. everytime i've played Mafia 2 classic over the years, after 30 minutes the game crashes like you describe, but 4gb patch fixed it, as long as i disable physx too, now the game no longer crashes, even after long play sessions.

Also, the slow motion bug happens if your FPS is over 100, so as long as you dont go above 100, the bug doesnt occur, but i play at 60fps anyway. and also, i had to temporarily use the original exe during chapter 2 intro, before it switches to the cutscene where Vito and Joe are in the bar, the game would crash, and fyi, i am running windowed. so i had to switch to OG exe, then after the cutscene i can keep on using the patched one and so far i have not had anything similar happen, and i'm in chapter 7.
