Friends For Life DLC causes story mode to become uncompletable

So I downloaded the DLC for obvious reasons, (COUGHnofreeroaminvanillagame) and kept it in the back until I finished the story. But what happened is that once I get to starting chapter 13, the game will infinitely load. If I try to load chapter 13 from the "load chapter" box, it crashes the game.

Does anyone else have this problem? If so, what did you do to fix it?

Uh... what is the friend's for life dlc? I don't see that anywhere, is it a mod perhaps?
Have you tried uninstalling the dlc and trying the game again? Good luck.

Its a nexus mod that adds new things and free roam to game. Not sure why the creator named dlc.

I would uninstall the mod and try the game again, you can always reinstall the mod after you're done with story mode. Good luck.

Yeah, deleting it works, but I would've prefered to be able to play both. I guess I can just do what you said and wait until I'm done with the story to add it.

and I called it DLC because that's what it is called in the files.
